Freedom To Be Who You Are
Free yourself up. Give yourself the permission and the space to be, unapologetically, "YOU".
I've written about being yourself in a recent blog. However, something compelled me to do it again; to give myself and someone else the chance to release themselves from the bondage of what others may think you should be.
During the pandemic, I have had so much time to think, read posts, reflect, study the Bible, pray and sit still. That time has brought things to the surface; to may attention. Things about my relationship with God, others and myself. How stable is my relationship with God? How strong are my relationships with others and do I truly have a sense of who I am? What is my relationship with myself?
This time has allowed me to truly begin to feel comfortable with my gifts and my uniqueness. It's allowed me to say, no to what I don't want to do or what I don't agree with. It's allowed me to not be bound by the movements of others. It's allowed me to say yes to me! I am creating a space where I can truly be me without apology or explanation. I am free to dispute you in love and address you if I'm not comfortable.
When I look in the mirror, I see my flaws and the beauty in them and my uniqueness. I'm not built or shaped or structured like anyone else. I'm constructed as, ME.
I want to encourage some woman, some girl... to give yourself the space to be free. Give yourself the grace to be just who you are. Whether you are in the forefront or behind the scenes. Whether you are a mother, single lady, a chef at home or in the restaurant. Whether you are in corporate or in front of students. Whether you are an artist; singer, writer, poet or painter. Whether you are a world traveler or homebody. Whether you are carefree or regimented. Be free in it! God created us all to be different. He knew what He was doing. There are no cookie cutters here.
Grow, take shape and change if you want to. Allow yourself to be remolded if that's what you want to do. When you were created there was no script on how to be you. You add to the design by tapping into the gifts that God gave you.
Lift up your hands and your hearts. Open your mind to who you are and let NO one stop you from being just that!
I do not own the rights to the image.
You're welcome.
Love this and thank you again for the inspiration and reminder ❤️
