2020 We are Literally Fighting For Our Lives

At no time did we think or could we have even imagined what we are dealing with right now. 2020 has caused us to put our boxing gloves on and come out swinging from all different angles. We are truly fighting for our lives. Each day that we make the conscious decision to walk out of our doors, we are taking a great risk. We are fighting by putting masks on, washing our hands over and over again, staying in doors, distancing ourselves, wiping everything down, leaving shoes at the door, spraying everything that we come in contact with, showering the moment we walk back inside and the list goes on. Those are just things that are part of the physical fight. But, we are also fighting to maintain our mental state. We are exercises to stay fit but to relieve stress, we are getting on video calls to stay connected with loved ones, watching less news and more wholesome television, reading books to escape, talking to counselors and therapists, journaling, drinking various teas to stay calm and playing soothing music. Let's not forget our spirit. We are also in a spiritual fight. We are praying more, reading the Bible more, worshipping more, listening to inspirational music, attending various services, meditating, sitting quietly and listening for the voice of God. We are fighting for every part of our being.

Our emotional wellbeing has been tremendously compromised with the countless number of deaths. Its magnitude is simply, "insane". It's not "normal". If that is even a word anymore. Our spirts have been torn and our bodies have been weakened. Full truth, it's difficult, it's taxing and overwhelming.

Day to day we follow our new routines because we have to; because life must go on...because bills must get paid, children must learn and be fed... But we are fighting without even realizing it?

Our minds, bodies and spirits are on autopilot.

Take some time out just to reflect. That pain you're feeling in your body, is a signal of the fight. That sadness you're experiencing is a signal of the fight. That doubt that is testing your faith is a signal of the fight. While we must fight to survive, don't ignore the signals. Do your best to recognize what your inner being is going through. Observe your own behaviors and feelings.

Life is truly precious; we have definitely learned that. Fight with recognition of the signals. Fight with the proper tools; proper food, proper rest, proper exercise, proper self-care... Fight with the proper spiritual weapons; the full armor of God. Stay in the fight but don't let the signals go by without you recognizing them and without you doing something about it.

Stay safe and healthy everyone. Stay in the fight.

As I read this message, I could feel each moment of your expressions and know that amidst all of this turmoil on earth. I am in a good space utilizing the tools to keep persevering thru every storm. No it is not easy but with Gods presence it will be done.
