Are you holding back on your gifts?

Why don't you think you have a gift or gifts? Why are you holding back with sharing your gifts with others? Could you possibly have low self-esteem or believe something negative that someone told you? We all have God given gifts that are to be used to serve others. Holding your gifts hostage just hinders your own growth and maturity. Holding on to your gifts and being fearful of sharing them can lead to feelings of unworthiness and loneliness; feelings of sadness and unacceptance. That's not healthy at all, is it? Once you begin to release them you will be surprised at how good it makes you feel. You will see how this blesses others and your spirit will be lifted. You will feel accomplished.

If you're the person that hides in the back and shies away form opportunity, it may be difficult at first; but, you have to start somewhere. Choose today, to take the first step in defining one of your gifts and sharing it.

Our gifts were not given to be stored in a box. When we receive birthday gifts, Christmas gifts or any other type of gift, do we leave it wrapped and tucked away? Of course not. In most cases we can't wait to open it. That is how you should treat the gifts that God has given you. Open them up, enjoy them and share them. That thing that you've been holding all to yourself; that gift of writing, singing, counseling, preaching, sports, encouraging, coaching , modeling, acting, managing... whatever it is, someone needs it right this very moment. Go out and bless someone and be blessed in the process.

I am challenging myself to push past my comfort zone and share my God given gifts. Join me.
