REST AND RELAX...

Rest seems like a foreign concept to many of us. Instead it should be a common one. It is one of the most, if not the single most important thing to our overall health. So, why aren't we resting? Well, because we get caught up in doing, and doing, and doing more for everyone else.
Just how healthy are you if you are not getting the proper rest? Probably not as healthy as you think you are or would like to be.
Unfortunately, something so simple as rest has become a challenge to us. This week, challenge yourself. Take the step to incorporate some form of rest. Take a 10 minute power nap during your lunch break. Stay in your car for 20 minutes to unwind before going into the house. Do some stretching exercises to release tension. If you have the time, turn everything off and take a bath and listen to some soft music. Most importantly, get at least 7 hours of sleep through the night to replenish your mind, body and spirit.
